The Wolf OTT Proxy is the ultimate solution for resellers. It protects your clients and ensures they can always access their service, even if their ISP blocks IPTV traffic. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your proxy server quickly.

Prepare Your VPS

Purchase a VPS with at least:

  • 10 Gbps network
  • 1 GB RAM minimum
  • Ubuntu 22
  • Root access

Create a Proxy Group

  • Go to your Wolf OTT Panel
  • Click Add Group
  • Insert a Title and Description
  • Example: Spain VPS 1, Spain for clients blocked by Vodafone

Add a Proxy

Click Add Proxy and fill in the details:

  • Server Name
  • IP Address
  • Domain
  • HTTP Port → Default: 8089 (no need to change)

Choose Proxy Type

Select Kind of Proxy:

  • 1 Proxy in front of all servers → Best for resellers managing multiple servers
  • XC Compatible → Ensures compatibility with XC-based systems

Add SSH Access

Enter:

  • SSH IP
  • SSH Password
  • SSH Port → Default: 22 (can be changed)

Configure Load Distribution (Weight)

Weight balances traffic between servers.

Example:

  • Server with Weight 2 → used 2x more often than a server with Weight 1

This ensures clients are distributed fairly depending on server capacity.

Assign Proxy to Group

Select the Proxy Group created in Step 2 (e.g., Spain).

SSL Setup (Optional)

You can secure your proxy with SSL in two ways:

SSL LetsEncrypt

  • Turn ON LetsEncrypt
  • Required fields:
    • Domain
    • HTTPS Port (Default: 443)
    • SSL Email
  • LetsEncrypt verifies SSL on port 80

SSL Proxified (Cloudflare or others)

  • Choose Yes/No
  • Cannot be active at the same time as LetsEncrypt

Enable HLS Cache (Recommended)

  • Enable HLS Cache → Reduces traffic to your LB server by caching streams
  • Cache Lock → Only one request goes to LB on cache miss (5s timeout)
  • Cache Duration → Recommended: 1–3 minutes (channels are real-time)

Final Setup

  • Go to Proxies List → Click your new proxy → Toggle → Install
  • Go to Groups List → Find your group (e.g., Spain) → Toggle → Edit Lines
  • You'll see your client list
  • Select the client with ISP problems
  • Click Save

Client Test

  • Ask the client to exit and re-open their player
  • They will now watch their subscription without ISP block issues! 🎉
